The underside of the right wing is missing the "stars and bars" insignia. The original insignia was removed when the undersides of both wings were stripped and repainted during the major restoration performed on the airplane in late 2005. I decided not to repaint the missing "stars and bars" insignia until later, when it would be practical to remove and replace the remaining insignias on the aircraft, to ensure matching paint colours.
